A few years back a new logo was needed that was going to be used in signage and marketing for a year round cafe to be set up in the newly acquired property in the then very underdeveloped resort village of Hirafu, Niseko.
The whole property on the corner at the only set of traffic lights in Hirafu was to be renamed Downtown and the cafe Downtown Cafe. The traffic lights were to be in the design and a downtown feeling was to be present. So content was gathered for inspiration and made into a scape book and then a few design ideas along the theme were mocked up. Finally the logo below was agreed on which now has been made into a huge back lite sign.
