Lodge Mokoro was an existing pension in the Annupuri Ski Resort area of the Niseko United. Ruri and Craig approached design kojo as they wanted to change the existing name and give the pension a bit of a spruce up for the up coming season with the idea that down the road they will convert it into a boutique ski lodge. When creating the logo and site design we worked closely with Ruri to present her future vision.
Mokoro means sleep in native Ainu tongue and with Craig originating form New Zealand Ruri wanted to use the koru as the base of the the design, funnily enough with a little bit of searching mokoro is also a type of toetoe grass in New Zealand, so we looked at incorporating this into the design too. If you look at the about us page you can see Youtei sitting behind some toetoe, not toetoe mokoro but the idea is there.
Lodge Mokoro also got one of our photography starter packages which includes a couple of visits to location and all images from the shoots for use in the web project and else where if needed.
